About the Artwork
The theme music for Jubilee is "Greensleeves", a traditional English folk tune, recorded by Kira Redzinak.
The artwork in Jubilee comes from the British Library Digital Catalogue of Illuminated Manuscripts, a public domain repository of high-resolution scans of illuminated medieval and Renaissance manuscripts.
Images are primarily sourced from three manuscripts:
The Knights - Legh's Men of Arms, from the last quarter of the 15th century or 1st quarter of the 16th century.
The Animals and People - Decretals of Gregory IX with glossa ordinaria (the 'Smithfield Decretals'), from the last quarter of the 13th century or 1st quarter of the 14th century
The Illuminated Letters - Cuttings from a choir book, from the 2nd or 3rd quarter of the 15th century
Other manuscripts were also used as sources.
